Designer – AV Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee AV design projects

• Serve as the principal designer and liaise directly with clients

• Coordinate and lead the internal design team to achieve milestone deliverables.

• Assist lead designers

• Provide support to other designers as necessary, based on project requirements

• Conduct equipment research and engage with manufacturers

• Deliver AV studies, including projection and acoustic evaluations

• Convert designer mark-ups into official project design documentation

• Create design documents and AV plans

• Develop details and elevations

• Produce control diagrams

• Compile schedules, reports, and specification packages

• Participate in project meetings while preparing agendas and notes as needed

• Conduct QAQC on all deliverables for clients

• Travel to project sites and client meetings as necessary

• Engage in ongoing professional development and education regarding emerging technologies

• Execute other related tasks as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AV and show design

• Proficient in 3D drafting using either Vectorworks or AutoCAD

• Familiarity with theatrical AV design principles

• Knowledge of architectural and facility requirements, and integration of AV equipment into attractions, museums, or live events

• Comprehension of the creative process

• Ability to read architectural blueprints and interpret electrical diagrams

• Capability to meet the established scope, schedule, and budget of a project

• Strong understanding of current technologies and industry standards relevant to AV design for live shows and facility infrastructure systems

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G Suite

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
