• Format text into lesson templates and supplementary resources across all Brite curriculum offerings, ensuring consistency in layout, readability, and adherence to brand standards.
• Create engaging, age-appropriate printables that correspond with and enhance lesson content, catering to various learning styles.
• Guarantee that all designed materials are optimized for both print and digital formats (including formatting, margins, resolution, file size, and usability).
• Work collaboratively with curriculum writers and team members to transform content into visually clear and effective teaching materials.
• Maintain and enhance design templates to ensure uniformity and efficiency across all curriculum products.
• Create additional curriculum resources as necessary.
• Organize and manage curriculum files using consistent naming conventions and folder structures to facilitate access and scalability.
• Upload and oversee digital assets on Britecurriculum.com, ensuring files are accurate, complete, and correctly categorized.
• Revise lesson content and resources on the website to ensure alignment.
• Monitor website content for broken links, outdated files, or inconsistencies, and actively resolve issues.
• Assist in ongoing enhancements to site organization and user experience for both internal teams and customers.
• Develop and implement systems and checklists to reduce errors and ensure uniformity across all curriculum assets.
• Perform thorough final reviews of all materials prior to publication, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand and curriculum standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot design, formatting, or usability issues, making necessary corrections.
• Work with team members to consistently improve workflows and quality assurance processes.
• Provide support to customers in troubleshooting and resolving specific issues related to curriculum resources, delivering exceptional connection and assistance.
• Actively participate in the ideation, development, enhancement, and promotion of curriculum.
• Foster a culture of integrated workflow and information sharing.
• Uphold and exemplify Awana’s cultural values in both internal and external communications and relationships.
• Contribute to special projects, initiatives, and evolving ministry needs.
• Embrace opportunities for professional development to refine your skills and expertise.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in typesetting and/or graphic design.
• Familiarity with children’s ministry curriculum layout and/or church ministry needs is preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign required; Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat strongly preferred) and Google Suite skills are essential.
• A working knowledge of WordPress is highly preferred, and experience with AWS would be an additional benefit.
• A solid understanding of the Bible from an orthodox evangelical perspective is required.
• Familiarity with the US Evangelical Church landscape, particularly in children’s ministry and relevant children’s culture.
• Availability for occasional local and out-of-town overnight travel may be necessary.
• Experience with Brite curriculum and other Awana resources is a plus.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
