Design Technologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create high-fidelity interactive prototypes that facilitate team exploration of product ideas, validate user experiences, and convey design direction.

• Design reusable components, technical tools, and shared capabilities that enhance consistency, scalability, and efficiency within Product Design.

• Collaborate closely with Product Designers and Engineers throughout the product development lifecycle to ensure that design intentions are realized through thoughtful and high-quality implementation.

• Assess and incorporate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, automation, and contemporary development practices that enhance design workflows and broaden the team's potential.

• Advocate for technical excellence by documenting best practices, mentoring colleagues, and promoting the adoption of new tools and workflows that elevate the quality and execution of design.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in product design, front-end engineering, design systems, design technology, or a related field, with a background in both design and engineering.

• Proficiency in creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes utilizing modern front-end technologies (like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks).

• Experience in developing reusable components, design systems, or internal tools that enhance team efficiency and product consistency.

• Knowledge of design tools such as Figma and prototyping technologies, as well as modern software development workflows, including version control and collaborative engineering practices.

• Familiarity with AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or comparable technologies to boost productivity, speed up prototyping, and streamline technical workflows.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership abilities, with a talent for bridging the gap between design and engineering viewpoints.
