Design Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee all engineering activities for several simultaneous projects to guarantee that design deliverables meet all project specifications.

• Create execution plans for the design phase, track progress, and address any deviations to reduce impacts.

• Ensure the smooth integration of all design elements, including civil, structural, electrical, SCADA, and high voltage disciplines.

• Manage client interactions concerning all technical matters during the design phase, ensuring prompt resolution of RFIs, comments, and potential change events.

• Facilitate thorough design reviews involving all stakeholders, ensuring that all design elements are rigorously examined, deficiencies corrected, and comments addressed in a timely manner.

• Monitor and promote the implementation of value engineering opportunities.

• Track internal engineering hours in relation to design progress and facilitate necessary corrective actions.

• Collaborate with AHJs to ensure complete and timely submission of permits.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

• Assist in contracting efforts with third-party consultants and develop trusted partnerships.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in PV, HV, BESS, and/or SCADA design.

• An engineering or related technical degree.

• Experience in project management, particularly with complex, multi-disciplinary projects; EPC experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in Procore, MS Office, MS Project, and/or P6.
