This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Conduct user and market research to identify user needs, validate opportunities, and convert insights into innovative product concepts.
• Develop a unified and scalable vision for user experience and a roadmap for AI Lab, collaborating closely with the product management and engineering teams.
• Oversee a team of strategists and product designers throughout the phases of research, ideation, prototyping, and the creation of production-ready designs across various releases.
• Establish design principles and interaction patterns for new multimodal UX paradigms, including workflows enhanced by AI.
• Engage with and contribute to our design system, which includes components, patterns, and guidelines tailored for AI/ML tools and scalable across AI Lab.
• Cultivate strong relationships with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to synchronize design priorities and foster learning and change management.
• Ensure that solutions are developed with a keen focus on quality, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
• Remain updated on trends in AI, multimodal data platforms, computer vision, digital surgery, and sensor-enabled intelligence, integrating insights into product design.
• Bachelor’s degree (mandatory) or Master’s degree (preferred) in Design or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in product design and design management, delivering platform solutions—ideally within healthcare, digital health, or AI-enabled product environments.
• High-level design proficiency and practical experience, with proven leadership in guiding design teams in producing enterprise-scale digital products and platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and provide strong cross-functional leadership while influencing technical, clinical, business, and executive teams.
• Experience in regulated environments, with a solid understanding of quality, privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with the capability to convert strategy into clear, actionable plans.
