This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and sustain 3D digital prototypes for primary and secondary aerostructure components from initial concept through to production.
• Create and revise 2D engineering drawings incorporating integrated working instructions.
• Ensure that designs adhere to Fit, Form, Function, Manufacturability, and relevant airworthiness regulations.
• Assist in stress analysis, weight assessments, and certification processes by providing precise design definitions.
• Offer ongoing engineering support to manufacturing and in-service operations.
• Design and incorporate metallic and/or composite aerostructure components and assemblies.
• Oversee product structure management utilizing CAD and PLM tools.
• Examine intricate design challenges and formulate effective technical solutions.
• Recognize design risks and opportunities for weight optimization.
• Evaluate technical documentation and engage in design review processes.
• Serve as a technical reference and assist in the development of junior engineers.
• A college or university degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 5 years of pertinent aerostructure design experience for professional/senior roles.
• Experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry (an asset for junior roles, mandatory for senior roles).
• Familiarity with airworthiness certification requirements (an asset).
• Experience in system installation integration is a plus.
