This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Identify and address challenges within accounts with customized solutions
• Develop strategic territory plans to enhance product demand and improve patient outcomes
• Collaborate with territory colleagues, field teams, and home-office staff to meet customer needs and provide access support
• Utilize market, competitive, and cross-functional insights to foresee opportunities and tackle challenges
• Leverage territory data and market trends to discover local insights and lead customer engagements either virtually or in person
• Organize planning sessions with stakeholders to address complex challenges across functions
• Provide timely access support and collaborate with Patient Specialty Services
• Employ digital tools and omni-channel strategies to customize outreach in both virtual and in-person settings
• Act as the main point of contact for accounts and healthcare providers
• Establish customer relationships, recognize shared priorities, and connect clients with Novartis resources
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university is required
• Relevant experience within the last 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or similar structured industries with large, geographically diverse sales teams, or other complex sales environments
• Minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience for the Territory Account Specialist level; higher positions necessitate 5+ or 10+ years of experience
• Demonstrated consistent high performance and experience in selling to large accounts and key customers
• Analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and apply information to resolve customer issues
• Ethical leadership with the ability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Must live within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a wide geographical area
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required
• Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategies, and new product launches is preferred
• Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical engagement with HCPs is preferred
• Candidates at the associate level may have limited prior sales experience; recent US military leadership experience with 4+ years of service is also accepted
