This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Navigate and address challenges within accounts using customized solutions.
• Develop strategic territory plans that align with common objectives to enhance product demand and improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with territory teammates, field teams, and home-office staff to meet customer needs and provide access support.
• Evaluate market, competitive, and cross-functional dynamics to foresee opportunities and obstacles.
• Utilize territory data and market trends to uncover local insights and facilitate pull-through initiatives.
• Lead effective virtual and in-person customer interactions.
• Organize planning sessions with key stakeholders to tackle complex issues.
• Provide immediate access support and partner with Patient Specialty Services.
• Leverage digital tools and omni-channel strategies to tailor customer outreach.
• Serve as the main point of contact for accounts and healthcare providers.
• Cultivate account relationships, identify shared goals, and connect customers with Novartis resources.
• A bachelor's degree is required from a four-year college or university.
• Experience within the past five years in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, medical devices, diagnostics, life sciences services, insurance, consumer health, B2B, or similarly complex sales environments.
• Territory Account Specialist level: 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Senior Territory Account Specialist level: 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Executive Territory Account Specialist level: 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Associate level: limited prior sales experience accepted, or 4+ years of U.S. military service in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated history of consistent high performance.
• Experience in navigating and selling to large accounts and key customers.
• Analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and utilize relevant information for solving customer issues.
• Ethical leadership with the capability to promote ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border.
• Willingness to travel 60–80% across a broad geography.
• Capability to drive and/or fly within the territory.
• A fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
• Experience with therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategies, and new product launches is preferable.
• Familiarity with patient services, market access, buy and bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, or medical calling on healthcare providers is desirable.

• Customer-facing employees must adhere to applicable customer credentialing guidelines, which may include vaccination requirements.
• Ability to collaborate across functions in a matrix environment and communicate clinical product information effectively.
