Dermatology Revenue Cycle Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage a designated portfolio of client accounts by addressing billing inquiries, overseeing account health, identifying issues, and keeping clients updated.

• Assist senior account managers with more intricate practices by compiling summaries, tracking pending items, and following up on unresolved matters.

• Communicate effectively and professionally with practice managers and physicians.

• Investigate and clarify claim statuses with major payers.

• Comprehend the reasons for claim denials and establish the appropriate course of action.

• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, flagging slow payers, recurring denial codes, and stagnant revenue trends.

• Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs), identify inconsistencies, and collaborate with the billing team to resolve them.

• Navigate practice management systems such as ModMed, EZDERM, Nextech, DrChrono, and eCW.

• Identify inefficient or broken processes and propose enhancements.

• Actively utilize AI tools to discover more efficient working methods.

• Gain insights into the business through practical involvement in the work itself.

• 1–2 years of experience in medical billing.

• A solid understanding of the claims process.

• Familiarity with common denial codes.

• Proficiency in navigating payer portals.

• Experience in dermatology is advantageous but not mandatory.

• A proactive individual who adapts well to uncertainty.

• Ability to make progress without detailed instructions.

• Existing experience with AI tools or a strong interest in utilizing them for work enhancement.

• A focus on efficiency.

• Excellent communication skills and professionalism, especially under pressure.
