This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the daily operations of CDE's Market Regulation Department as the second-in-command, ensuring continuity and decision-making in the absence of the Chief Regulatory Officer.
β’ Enhance CDE's compliance framework across all relevant CFTC regulatory standards by identifying deficiencies and implementing corrective measures.
β’ Lead the coordination of internal and external examinations and audits, managing responses and ensuring prompt resolution of findings.
β’ Collaborate with CDE trade surveillance teams to review escalated cases, evaluate potential rulebook infringements, and determine suitable enforcement measures.
β’ Foster cross-departmental alignment by advising CDE staff and partner teams on DCM Core Principles, CFTC regulations, and CDE's rulebook and policies.
β’ A minimum of 7 years of experience providing compliance and regulatory support for CFTC-registered designated contract markets (DCMs) or derivatives clearing organizations (DCOs).
β’ Proven experience engaging directly with senior staff from the CFTC, including those from the Division of Market Oversight, Division of Clearing and Risk, and Market Participants Division.
β’ Extensive knowledge of CFTC Core Principles with a demonstrated ability to analyze and apply them to ensure DCM compliance with relevant regulations.
β’ Strong understanding of market fundamentals, trading practices, investigative and surveillance methods necessary to assess complex potential violations.
β’ Established ability to consolidate regulatory observations into clear written memoranda, reports, and information requests for stakeholders at all levels, including regulators.
β’ Proven history of managing multiple concurrent regulatory workstreams involving cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
β’ Responsible utilization of generative AI, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and achieve measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
β’ Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility.
