Deputy CAD Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the overall management, upkeep, and ongoing enhancement of the company's CAD and design technology environment.

• Uphold and implement company CAD standards, libraries, and optimal practices.

• Record CAD procedures and workflows.

• Facilitate quality control assessments to ensure adherence to company and client standards.

• Provide daily support to CAD users by resolving software, file, and plotting issues.

• Aid in onboarding by configuring CAD profiles, permissions, and tools.

• Contribute to CAD training materials and educational sessions.

• Help with software installations, version upgrades, and license management.

• Assist in file management, project setup, and directory organization in collaboration with IT, project managers, and client specifications.

• Support client Workspace deployment, troubleshooting, and enhancements.

• Assess new CAD tools, plugins, and workflows.

• Work with engineering, design, and project teams to tackle CAD-related challenges.

• Help manage client-based CAD resources.

• Facilitate cross-discipline coordination and data sharing between CAD platforms.

• Spot opportunities to enhance CAD workflows, automate processes, and standardize practices.

• Collect user feedback and implement process improvements for scalability and growth.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in CAD, Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5 to 10 years of experience utilizing CAD platforms in a professional setting.

• Proficiency in MicroStation and/or Bentley OpenX products and/or ProjectWise.

• Strong comprehension of CAD standards, plotting, and file management.

• Capability to troubleshoot technical issues and articulate solutions effectively.

• Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience supporting various disciplines is preferred.

• Familiarity with CAD/BIM administration and development standards is preferred.

• Background in supporting a common data environment (CDE) is preferred.

• Knowledge of scripting, automation, and customization tools is preferred.

• Experience in a consulting or project-oriented setting, preparing engineering and technical deliverables is preferred.
