Deployment and Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and implement software deployments across various environments (staging, testing, production)

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to organize and plan deployment activities

• Establish and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines

• Monitor and resolve deployment processes to guarantee smooth execution and timely delivery. Address and rectify any issues or failures in deployment processes

• Automate deployment tasks whenever feasible to minimize manual intervention and enhance efficiency

• Ensure version control and maintain proper documentation of deployment procedures and configurations

• Conduct post-deployment testing to confirm functionality and performance meet expectations

• Update and maintain deployment tools and scripts to boost reliability and automation

• Offer support to the development team in testing, validating, and deploying application modifications

• Collaborate with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) to manage deployments and configurations

• Ensure adherence to security and operational standards during deployment processes

• Provide regular updates on deployment progress and potential risks to stakeholders


⛳️ Requirements

• Active US Top Secret Security clearance

• 3-5+ years of experience in delivering, integrating, or operating technology solutions within DoD network environments (deployment, release engineering, or related roles)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify product issues, determine root causes, troubleshoot, implement solutions, and escalate as needed; detail-oriented with the capacity to translate technical findings into actionable results

• Solid understanding of OSI networking principles, both generally and in DoD-specific contexts

• Ability to work independently with both technical and non-technical parties in rapidly changing environments while demonstrating excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal)

• Capability to adjust to fast-paced environments and manage deployment challenges under pressure; demonstrated adaptability and success in resource-constrained settings

• Expertise and experience with a variety of technologies, including CI/CD tools, containerization technologies, version control systems, cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and monitoring tools

• Willingness and ability to travel as required, up to 50%, though requirements may vary.
