Demand Planning Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee weekly and monthly demand forecasts across various retail channels.

• Examine sell-in, sell-through, inventory, and retailer POS information.

• Aid in updating forecasts based on promotions, seasonal changes, and market dynamics.

• Supervise retailer purchase orders and inventory levels to pinpoint risks and opportunities.

• Contribute to forecast accuracy reporting and variance analysis.

• Develop and sustain Excel-based tools for forecasting and reporting.

• Generate business performance reports and planning updates for internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with sales, finance, and supply chain teams to synchronize forecasts and inventory requirements.

• Monitor sales trends and assist in demand planning initiatives.

• Engage cross-functionally with sales, finance, supply chain, and operations teams to facilitate inventory flow, retailer purchase orders, and forecast precision.

• Convert extensive datasets into clear business insights and actionable recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Demand Forecasting, Inventory Planning, Retail Sales Analysis, Forecast Variance Analysis, Data Management/Analysis, Reporting, and Dashboard Creation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH).

• Capable of analyzing sales trends, retailer demand, inventory levels, and promotional activities to ensure accurate forecasting and business planning.

• Strong data analysis capabilities with experience in developing forecasting models, tracking weekly performance, and identifying sales and inventory risks and opportunities.

• Outstanding project management, organizational, and analytical abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external retail partners.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with numerous stakeholders.
