This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive strategic relationships with the largest capital allocators in APAC, including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, proprietary trading desks, digital asset trusts, and centralized exchanges, utilizing Attio for personalized, high-touch outreach tailored to each relationship to expand Morpho's active loan book within the region.

• Develop the APAC lender and borrower portfolio by identifying, qualifying, and onboarding new participants throughout Greater China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, and Japan via a dedicated pipeline strategy managed through Attio.

• Identify, scope, and structure custom deals (including fixed-rate loans, multi-collateral facilities, gated curator vaults, and structured obligations) by collaborating directly with Curators to create and finalize tailored opportunities for APAC allocators.

• Oversee the desk during APAC market hours by monitoring the health of the book amid volatility events, coordinating with Curators to source borrows for incoming supply, and directing them to the appropriate vaults without escalating issues to New York.

• Conduct bilingual market education (including Mandarin-language webinars, explainers, and differentiation sheets) to enhance Morpho's brand visibility among crypto institutional allocators in Mandarin-speaking markets.

• Serve as the representative voice for APAC within Morpho by providing structured product requirements, oracle and custody needs, and region-specific signals to the Product, Protocol, and Curator teams, contributing to the formulation of Midnight's APAC go-to-market strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in crypto institutional sales, OTC trading, structured products, or wealth management at a prominent trading desk or institutional arm of an exchange.

• Proficient in both English and Mandarin, with the ability to conduct a full technical product call in Mandarin, create Chinese-language explainers, and manage WeChat communications effectively. Cantonese proficiency is an added advantage.

• Located in Hong Kong or Singapore, or willing to relocate, possessing an established and warm network within the Greater China crypto community, family offices, and proprietary trading desks.

• Extensive technical knowledge of DeFi, including ERC-4626 vaults, curator architectures, oracle risk, liquidation mechanics, and looping math, enabling meaningful conversations with risk analysts without causing delays.

• Proven track record in structuring bespoke deals from start to finish, with a strong understanding of P&L instincts, rate-spread mechanics, liquidity management, and a comprehensive grasp of maker/taker dynamics, funding rates, and basis.

• Comfortable functioning as the sole Morpho contributor during APAC hours, making independent judgment calls without waiting for colleague approval.

• High-trust and high-discretion relationship management abilities: the role is more akin to running a private wealth desk or a high-end auction house than traditional enterprise sales.

• A proactive book-builder who arrives with a pipeline strategy and does not wait to be assigned accounts.

• Clear and effective communicator across asynchronous channels (Slack, Notion, Attio, WeChat), capable of adapting communication styles to suit Mandarin-speaking clients.
