Decarbonisation Lead – Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Identify a comprehensive list of real-time examples focused on people-centred decarbonisation.

• Create 2-3 in-depth, field-researched narratives.

• Develop engaging multi-format outputs for each narrative.

• Conduct thorough literature reviews and landscape analyses.

• Design and execute ethical, high-quality interview methodologies.

• Ensure compliance with IHRB’s ethical standards for field research.

• Collaborate with communications team members to produce supplementary materials.

• Contribute to IHRB’s extensive knowledge repository on just transitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in journalistic and writing positions.

• Proven expertise in the areas of decarbonisation and just transitions.

• Strong grasp of decarbonisation and corporate governance concepts.

• Knowledge of just transition principles along with business and human rights frameworks.

• Outstanding narrative writing abilities.

• Strong primary research skills, including conducting interviews and field investigations.

• Capability to distill complex findings into accessible insights.

• High level of emotional intelligence and cultural awareness.

• A proactive and self-driven approach.
