This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
• Oversee and enhance data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics platforms to ensure dependability, precision, and accessibility.
• Perform data validation, quality assessments, and performance optimization utilizing SQL and Python/Shell scripting.
• Establish monitoring and observability using Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus to evaluate system health and performance.
• Work in conjunction with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to incorporate data deployments within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).
• Utilize infrastructure-as-code methodologies (Terraform, Ansible) for the provisioning and automation of data environments.
• Assist with incident and request management through ServiceNow, ensuring adherence to SLAs and conducting root cause analysis.
• Collaborate closely with security and compliance teams to uphold data governance and protection standards.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies within Scrum/Kanban frameworks to coordinate with cross-functional delivery teams.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DataOps, Data Engineering Operations, or Analytics Platform Support, with substantial exposure to DevOps/SRE practices.
• Expertise in SQL and Python/Shell scripting for automation and data diagnostics.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is required; exposure to Azure/GCP is advantageous).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps), version control (Git), and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible).
• Practical experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Comprehension of containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of data governance, observability, and quality frameworks.
• Background in incident management and tracking operational metrics (MTTR, uptime, latency).
