This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of database systems in 24/7 environments, optimizing for both scalability and high availability.
• Design cloud database architectures, enforce compliance, enhance performance tuning, and collaborate with stakeholders to align database strategies with organizational needs.
• Facilitate the seamless implementation and maintenance of database systems (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, and Progress DB).
• Provide production support for 24/7 operational environments.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to guarantee high availability and scalability of database systems.
• Collaborate closely with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and industry standards.
• Document and maintain technical documentation related to tasks performed.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and design scalable cloud database architectures.
• Develop and implement database management strategies, including data governance and security measures.
• Stay current with advancements in cloud computing, data management, and database technologies, and recommend enhancements to existing systems.
• Participate in capacity planning activities to ensure effective resource utilization.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration, particularly with Oracle 19c, OEM, and OMS.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Database Management Operations.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and implementing database architectures.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Database Security within Oracle and SQL, including TDE, DataGuard, and Golden Gate.
• Proficient in Automation and Scripting using Ansible, Shell, or Python.
• Familiarity with Progress OpenEdge Database.
• Familiarity with Ansible Automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Relevant certifications in Oracle, Microsoft, Google, or AWS applicable to this role.
• Strong grasp of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with DevOps practices and methodologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Work from Home Setup.
• Flexible to be assigned on a rotating schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and/or 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM PHT) with potential on-call and weekend support.
