This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design, implement, deploy, manage, and maintain the tools, software, and hardware that constitute database-related resources and solutions;
• Address incidents, problems, service requests, and changes pertaining to the database environment;
• Execute configurations, modifications, and optimizations within the database environment;
• Ensure the environment remains current by adhering to the guidelines established in change management;
• Collaborate with vendors as required;
• Initiate and oversee support tickets with solution vendors;
• Create and keep documentation for the entire environment updated;
• Offer support for system maintenance services by recommending best practices, tools, and data solution alternatives aimed at developing and maintaining databases in alignment with defined standards;
• Administer the Oracle environment;
• Sustain the data object library;
• Assist data administrators in utilizing databases in accordance with data administration standards;
• Uphold naming conventions and mnemonics;
• Define logical data security requirements;
• Validate and approve both logical and physical data models;
• Provide, maintain, and protect an integrated perspective of the data contained within the data integration map;
• Adhere to Data Administration policies;
• Guide users in utilizing data modeling tools;
• Support teams involved in coordinating and managing changes in the IT sector, IT planning, software quality, and system testing concerning corporate databases;
• Respond to requests for the maintenance and updates of databases across development, QA/UAT, testing, and production environments;
• Assist technical teams in configuration tasks, initial data loads, and database parameterization for deployment, based on user requirements;
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge bases for data administration;
• Configure and manage database backups;
• Contribute to the formulation of database backup policies;
• Conduct performance analyses and resource utilization assessments of database environments;
• Diagnose and resolve incidents and issues within database environments;
• Monitor support tickets filed with the vendor for software-related issues under your responsibility;
• Upgrade database versions and apply patches as necessary;
• Engage in projects, providing technical insights regarding the characteristics of the database environment;
• Author technical articles on best practices related to database environments and share knowledge with technical teams;
• Research solutions and draft their technical specifications to support analyses regarding database infrastructure;
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Professional experience: Experience in critical corporate environments with high availability.
• Certifications/Courses: ITIL 4 training with a minimum duration of 12 (twelve) hours.
• Official ITIL 4 Foundation certification or higher.
• Official OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) certification.
• Official OCE (Oracle Certified Expert) RAC certification.
• Advanced Linux course of at least 30 (thirty) hours.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Multicloud Architect Professional course (7 hours).
