Database Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage, oversee, and enhance Oracle and SQL Server environments.

• Conduct performance evaluations on applications, pinpointing bottlenecks between the application and the database.

• Execute comprehensive troubleshooting (application + database), which includes log analysis, query assessment, and integration checks.

• Assist development teams in refining queries, stored procedures, and data modeling.

• Maintain high levels of availability, data integrity, and security.

• Quickly diagnose and respond to critical incidents with precision.

• Engage in projects focused on continuous improvement, automation, and the evolution of environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline.

• Proficient understanding of Oracle Database.

• Proficient understanding of SQL Server.

• Experience in analyzing and optimizing queries from .NET applications (C# / WCF).

• Capability to read and comprehend C# code to aid in troubleshooting.

• Background in stored procedures, functions, and data modeling for enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with application log analysis and the correlation of logs with database events.

• Experience in troubleshooting integrations, particularly WCF services.

• Ability to grasp application behavior regarding database utilization.

• Comfortable collaborating with developers on debugging, query analysis, and performance enhancements.

• An investigative mindset for dissecting complex incidents (full stack: application + database).

• Strong communication skills for interacting with both technical and functional teams.

• Desired: Prior experience with SONDA systems or similar environments; experience with supporting tax/fiscal systems or ERPs; experience with query profiling in .NET applications; knowledge of distributed application architecture; fluent in English.
