Data Visualization Developer – Mid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• This role will assist in meeting the technical requirements of the Strategic Analytics team.

• The primary focus will be on developing and maintaining dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, R/Python, and other visualization tools to help the business uncover actionable insights.

• As an essential member of the team, you will collaborate closely with business users, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver tailored visualizations that ensure an interactive and user-friendly experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Create dashboards based on wireframes in Microsoft Power BI.

• Comprehend the data and construct intricate data models within the visualization tool to meet reporting needs.

• Write SQL scripts as necessary to extract data from various sources (SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, Snowflake) and transform it for reporting purposes.

• Produce pixel-perfect reports when appropriate.

• Develop and support applications in Power Apps, integrating them with Power BI.

• Automate a range of manual tasks.

• Investigate marketplace visuals and R/Python visuals to enhance dashboards.

• Conduct regression testing for Microsoft Power BI.

• Manage user maintenance, including adding new users and removing existing ones from the system, while tracking and reassigning licenses as needed.

• Perform log analysis for Power BI.

• Troubleshoot and maintain existing VBA scripts.

• Monitor email outputs from current scripts and escalate issues as necessary.

• The ideal candidate should have experience in developing and supporting visualization applications, with a strong understanding of building data models in Power BI, Power Query, and DAX.

• Candidates should be capable of basic troubleshooting and log analysis, root cause analysis, and coordination with various IT teams for support.

• Proficiency in Power BI is essential, with the ability to work with users on change requests and potentially design dashboards being highly desirable.

• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in creating geomapping visualizations.

• Intermediate experience in building Paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder or prior experience in SSRS is preferred.

• Intermediate experience in creating dashboards in Power BI's embedded capacity or developing BI solutions utilizing web technologies (JavaScript, Angular JS) would be advantageous.

• Intermediate experience with the Power Automate Platform is required.

• Ongoing maintenance of existing Power BI dashboards while adding new features and functionalities as requested by the SA team and business users is expected.

• Strong communication skills across multiple teams, with the ability to escalate significant issues when necessary, are essential.

• Ability to perform Power BI tasks with minimal guidance is required.

• Candidates should be willing to explore and research new tools and technologies as advised by the SA team.
