Data Technician – Registration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Acquire raw 3D laser scanning data from field capture.

• Register and process laser scanning point clouds into reliable, dimensionally accurate, and user-friendly data sets.

• Utilize point cloud software to convert raw scan data into functional point clouds.

• Conduct QA/QC on point cloud registrations to ensure accuracy and precision.

• Align point clouds with specific coordinates or existing client models.

• Support the Mapping and Modeling team during post-processing phases.

• Collaborate with project managers and clients throughout the duration of projects.

• Guarantee timely completion, quality standards, and client satisfaction.

• Communicate project and client status and expectations both internally and externally.

• Maintain updated project information and status in the company's ERP systems.

• Investigate industry trends and competitor activities.

• Keep an updated electronic schedule/calendar.

• Work autonomously as well as in collaboration on projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is mandatory.

• Capability to read blueprints and architectural drawings.

• Strong computer skills and familiarity with various software and tools.

• Systematic approach to tasks and projects.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong technical abilities and aptitude for grasping complex systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to independently manage tasks and projects.

• Outstanding time management skills and capability to meet deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and seek assistance when necessary.

• Associate or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk and Leica products is preferred.

• Experience with laser scanning and/or processing scan data is preferred.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods is preferred.
