This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead and support various Data Engineering teams, cultivating a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, aiding in their skill development and capabilities enhancement.

• Advocate for engineering best practices, high code quality, and continuous improvement across all teams.

• Design, review, and oversee the implementation of scalable data solutions utilizing Databricks and contemporary cloud technologies.

• Establish and uphold coding standards, architectural principles, and documentation protocols.

• Conduct code reviews and offer technical feedback to ensure maintainability, performance, and reliability of the codebase.

• Lead initiatives aimed at process optimization, automation, and engineering excellence.

• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Data Engineering and Analytics.

• Review and validate technical deliverables to ensure they meet engineering standards and client expectations.

• Develop and enhance quality assurance processes focused on data integrity, reliability, and governance.

• Support the establishment of scalable and sustainable data architecture practices.

• Collaborate with clients to comprehend their business and technical requirements.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, ensuring that solutions align with client objectives and standards.

• Facilitate effective communication among technical teams, stakeholders, and business partners to guarantee successful project delivery.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in Data Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.

• Solid background with Apache Spark and cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Proficient programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java.

• Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehousing concepts.

• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical decisions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
