Data Strategy and Governance Manager

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to clients on comprehensive solutions related to data strategy, management, and quality.

• Assist in business development, methodology formulation, team leadership, and the execution of delivery for data governance evaluations and implementations.

• Create and implement data governance technology solutions focusing on data quality, dictionaries, business glossaries, standards, and policies.

• Establish organizational design, governance procedures, policies, roles, responsibilities, success metrics, and operational models for client data initiatives.

• Develop roadmaps that encompass technology, culture, governance, processes, skills, competencies, data quality, analytics, and the maturity of data management.

• Lead and cooperate with data governance teams to formulate business cases, resource allocations, implementation roadmaps, and assessments of enterprise data systems.

• Evaluate current environments, pinpoint client challenges and needs, and help articulate a pragmatic vision and strategy for transforming into a data-driven organization.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering thought leadership on data governance, management, cloud transformation, AI readiness, and related best practices.

• Oversee resources, budgets, project execution, team development, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in consulting focused on data governance, strategy, and management.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a relevant discipline.

• Proficient in creating roadmaps for data, data management, governance, strategy, quality, and analytics.

• Familiarity with data governance and management tools such as Informatica, Collibra, Alation, DataHub, or equivalent platforms.

• Experience in designing data governance operating models, which include governance structures, roles and responsibilities, and key performance indicators.

• Knowledge of enterprise data concepts such as master data management, enterprise data warehouses, and MDM standards.

• Background in compliance or regulatory domains like BCBS 239, CCPA, GDPR, data privacy, or security standards.

• Certification or a solid understanding of DAMA / DMBOK principles regarding data management.

• Proven experience in implementing solutions for monitoring and visualizing metadata within data governance frameworks.

• Skilled in developing data remediation and management processes.

• Strong leadership capabilities, encompassing team building, recruitment, mentoring, and talent development in data governance.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Experience in designing data governance programs that facilitate AI, advanced analytics, and AI use-case development.

• Familiarity with modern data platforms, including cloud-native architectures, data lakes, data mesh, and governance products like Databricks and Microsoft Purview.
