Data Scientist – Recommendation/Square Community

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Evaluate user interactions, content standards, creator effectiveness, and consumption trends to uncover opportunities for enhancing recommendations.

• Assist in optimizing critical recommendation scenarios, including Feed, Hot Tab, Topic, News, Trading Analysis, and creator distribution.

• Develop and enhance data metrics related to content quality, user interest profiling, creator standards, community well-being, and trading-associated content.

• Engage in the design of recommendation strategies, encompassing recall, ranking, cold-start situations, diversity, personalization, and traffic distribution.

• Implement A/B testing, monitor metrics, analyze adverse cases, and conduct in-depth experiments to assess algorithm and product effectiveness.

• Investigate the utilization of LLMs and multimodal models for content comprehension, topic tagging, hot event identification, and tailored distribution.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance data pipelines, feature logging, experiment tracking, and the efficiency of the recommendation system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong analytical abilities and a robust understanding of statistics, machine learning, and data mining techniques.

• Proficient in SQL and at least one programming language, such as Python.

• Familiar with recommendation systems, ranking algorithms, user profiling, A/B testing, or causal analysis.

• Possess good business acumen and the capability to convert data insights into enhancements for products or algorithms.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across product, algorithm, engineering, and operations teams.

• Interest in Web3, cryptocurrency, financial markets, online communities, or content recommendation is an advantage.
