Data Scientist – Mid Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Develop and refine machine learning models — encompassing data exploration, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and deployment.

• Implement and sustain elements of production ML pipelines: including data preprocessing, model serving, monitoring, and retraining workflows.

• Contribute to systems powered by large language models (LLMs) — creating prompt chains, evaluation harnesses, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, or fine-tuning workflows.

• Analyze extensive multimodal datasets (text, image, video, structured metadata) to derive features and insights that enhance downstream models.

• Produce clean, tested, production-quality Python code — beyond mere notebooks.

• Engage in code reviews, design discussions, and retrospective evaluations of experiments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in building ML models, with a portion of that work deployed in a production environment.

• Strong foundational knowledge in machine learning: you comprehend bias-variance trade-offs, cross-validation, regularization, and can analyze why a model may be underperforming.

• Proficient in Python and familiar with essential ML libraries.

• Experience with at least one of the following: NLP/LLMs, computer vision, recommender systems, or time-series modeling.

• Robust experience with software engineering practices — including Git, testing, CI/CD, and code review.

• A keen interest in LLMs and contemporary AI tools.

• Effective communication skills — you can articulate your modeling decisions and outcomes to both technical and non-technical peers.
