Data Scientist, Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design processes and applications utilizing Machine Learning or Generative AI that generate business value through insights, categorization, process automation, or innovative products;

• Convert intricate technical ideas into clear language for non-technical teams, promoting collaboration and shared understanding;

• Collaborate closely with other teams, proactively identifying needs and offering assistance to guarantee project success;

• Create process and product initiatives that leverage Machine Learning and GenAI, from concept development and detailed refinement to implementation, model and prompt creation, and production oversight;

• Oversee AI-driven processes, ensuring service execution and availability, along with model accuracy and other performance indicators as per specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields with a robust quantitative and analytical background;

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or in a comparable role;

• Understanding of strategic management and project management; experience in the financial sector is advantageous;

• Programming languages: Expertise in Python and SQL; familiarity with other programming languages and frameworks is preferred;

• Machine Learning: Familiarity and hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms;

• Statistics: Solid grounding in descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, and sampling;

• Data visualization: Proficient in self-service BI tools;

• Tools and platforms: Knowledge of development environments like Jupyter Notebooks and Google Colab; familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS) is a plus;

• MLOps (basic concepts): Comprehension of how models are deployed to production, monitored, and maintained;

• Prompt engineering: Understanding of prompt formulation and optimization for large language models (LLMs).
