Data Scientist III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop Data Science solutions: Create solutions that align with business objectives, often involving exploratory data analysis, machine learning models (both supervised and unsupervised), and Operations Research (Optimization).

• Execute the complete DS lifecycle: Guide the process from understanding business needs and conducting exploratory analysis to feature engineering, model development, and performance validation, while providing necessary support for deploying models into production.

• Collaborate with the business: Work alongside business teams to design model usage and monitoring strategies, ensuring effective communication to clarify complex results for non-technical audiences.

• Function within an agile team: Engage in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, managing cross-technical dependencies among colleagues with clarity and transparency.

• Investigate AI advancements: Assist the team in enhancing solutions through the integration of new AI tools available in the market for everyday tasks and model explainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Statistics and Machine Learning (both supervised and unsupervised modeling).

• Intermediate understanding of Operations Research (mathematical optimization models).

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Experience with version control systems (Git / GitHub) and familiarity with cloud-based environments.

• Effective communication and business orientation: Capable of clearly articulating complex results to functional and non-technical stakeholders.

• Collaborative mindset: Skilled in promoting open dialogue, managing cross-technical dependencies, and working integratively with the team.

• The following are advantageous:

• In-depth knowledge of Operations Research.

• Experience or keen interest in code assistants (such as GitHub Copilot) and in utilizing/creating AI agents or LLMs.

• Previous experience with data products and integrating models into digital applications.
