This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Analyze data to either support or challenge a given thesis.
• Choose and apply the appropriate tools for the tasks at hand.
• Develop, train, evaluate, and validate various models.
• Integrate models into a production environment.
• Clearly document your processes and findings.
• Oversee and enhance models that are currently in production.
• Investigate agentic and reasoning systems.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the AI field.
• Practical AI experience working with LLMs through API/SDK, along with deploying ML or DL models.
• A strong understanding of linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistical inference.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and fine-tuning methodologies.
• Proficiency in both supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
• Ability to critically evaluate LLM outputs.
• Familiarity with tokenization, context windows, and inference optimization.
• Expertise in deep learning, including CNNs, RNNs/LSTMs, and transformers.
• Hands-on experience applying Reinforcement Learning algorithms.
• Experience with model testing frameworks and evaluation strategies.
• Strong skills in Snowflake/SQL.
• Proficient with pandas, NumPy, and data manipulation techniques.
• Background in data quality assessment, cleaning, and validation.
• Proficient in writing clean, production-quality Python code.
• Familiar with ML pipelines and feature engineering practices.
• Understanding of model serving patterns.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining models over time.
• Working knowledge of AWS services.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies.
• Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Slack, Jupyter notebooks, and various Python packages.
• Knowledge of MLflow, Weights & Biases, or similar tools.
