Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.

📋 Description

• Familiarize yourself with Viaduct’s history and mission

• Build rapport with every team member

• Establish your development environment

• Gain insights into Viaduct’s data pipelines and data science processes

• Discover our current partners, their key requirements, and the gaps we aim to address

• Share your initial deliverables during internal presentations

• Identify and suggest enhancements to our products

• Implement improvements to our ML/Agentic pipelines

• Showcase your work at our weekly team meetings

• Act as a thought leader within the data science team

• Deliver exceptional data science-based products and services

• Collaborate with engineers to enhance data science tools

• Present your models and pertinent metrics to stakeholders

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in machine learning and statistical analysis

• Comfort in working directly with customers

• Excellent presentation skills for conveying technical information to non-technical audiences

• Experience handling datasets that exceed the capacity of a single machine

• Self-driven and capable of working autonomously

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities

• Minimum of an advanced degree (M.S.) in a data science-related discipline, or 2+ years of relevant experience

• Proficient in Python and SQL

• Practical experience with ML libraries (scikit-learn, xgboost, MLlib, etc.)

• Familiarity with deep learning libraries (Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.)

• Working knowledge of distributed/cloud computing platforms (AWS, Hive, Clickhouse, Argo-workflows, etc.)

• Experience in developing agentic workflows

• Background in deploying and maintaining data pipelines and data science-driven product features
