Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design and manage supervised machine learning models to enhance ad targeting, measurement, and campaign optimization.

• Conduct data analysis, validation, and feature engineering on extensive and intricate datasets.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to convert business requirements into data science solutions.

• Assess model performance using relevant metrics and iterate to enhance model quality.

• Aid in optimization and experimental initiatives related to advertising effectiveness.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to assist in deploying models into production.

• Oversee model performance and assist in troubleshooting production-related issues.

• Convey results, insights, and limitations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Remain informed about the latest industry best practices in data science and machine learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 2–4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a similar analytical role.

• Practical experience in applying machine learning to real-world business challenges.

• Proficiency in Python programming.

• Strong experience with SQL and relational database management.

• Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn; experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch is advantageous.

• Good understanding of supervised learning methods, including linear regression, logistic regression, and tree-based models such as decision trees, random forests, and gradient boosting.

• Experience with data manipulation and analysis utilizing pandas and NumPy.

• Knowledge of model evaluation methods and performance metrics.

• Basic familiarity with production systems or machine learning pipelines is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems effectively.

• Capacity to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
