Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Product and Business Intelligence to transform business objectives into clearly defined machine learning challenges with established success metrics and guidelines.

• Develop and implement models for customer segmentation, churn prediction, lifetime value analysis, and recommendation systems.

• Create evaluation frameworks that include offline benchmarks and online feedback mechanisms to ensure models are accurately assessed rather than assumed.

• Work with Engineering teams on production design considerations such as latency, payload structure, fallbacks, and failure scenarios.

• Track model performance over time, identify drift, and take ownership of retraining and iterative cycles.

• Leverage product telemetry and user input to foster ongoing enhancements to models and features.

• Partner with AI coding agents to expedite development processes (including pipelines, testing, refactoring, and exploration) while ensuring human oversight is maintained.

• Effectively communicate findings, trade-offs, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years experience as a Data Scientist, Applied Scientist, or Machine Learning Engineer.

• Proficient in SQL and Python, with hands-on experience in production machine learning.

• Familiarity with churn analysis, segmentation, lifetime value, or recommendation systems.

• Comfortable working with production systems and APIs.

• Knowledgeable in AI coding tools and agent-based workflows.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical topics.

• Nice to Have

• Experience in loyalty programs, customer relationship management, or retail analytics.

• Familiarity with large language models or AI agents.

• Experience in developing internal tools or machine learning infrastructure.

• Bilingual in French and English.
