Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Business Insight & Problem Definition: Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to identify business challenges and establish relevant data metrics, analyses, and interpretations that inform strategic decisions.

• Statistical Modeling: Set requirements for and oversee the development, monitoring, and continuous enhancement of essential statistical models utilized for optimizing marketing spend and driving product growth.

• Narrative & Visualization: Create clear and concise narratives along with data visualizations to effectively convey model outputs and analytical results to a wide range of non-technical audiences.

• Rapid Prototyping: Independently design and test new insights, advancing from hypothesis formulation to thorough validation with minimal guidance.

• Technical Consultation: Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various modeling strategies, selecting and refining combinations that are tailored to specific marketing scenarios.

• Is a Creative Problem Solver: You are solution-focused, proactive, and adept at crafting compelling narratives from raw data.

• Drives Strategic Influence: You possess the ability to engage with all organizational levels to shape product and marketing strategies through data-supported insights.

• Your Technical Toolkit: Mastery of Python or R for handling complex multi-dimensional data sets, particularly utilizing libraries such as CausalImpact and RStan.

• Data Carpentry: Proficient in advanced SQL to confidently manipulate and structure data.

• Cloud Experience: Practical experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Data Platforms (Nice to have): Knowledge or experience with Databricks and Snowflake environments is a plus.
