Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop real-time machine learning models leveraging extensive datasets to provide scalable solutions for customer challenges.

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and designers to create and refine data-driven features.

• Lead data exploration and experimentation to uncover new product opportunities utilizing Amazon and e-commerce behavioral insights.

• Design and execute experiments to assess the effectiveness of optimizations and relay findings to stakeholders.

• Create scalable, efficient, and automated methodologies for large-scale data analysis, model development, and inference.

• Construct scalable pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS to operationalize insights.

• Define metrics, develop dashboards, and oversee model performance in a production environment.

• Promote best practices in model development, testing, and monitoring.

• Produce production-ready code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience conceptualizing, creating, and deploying algorithms and models to production in collaboration with machine learning engineers.

• Strong understanding of machine learning best practices paired with a solid statistical foundation.

• Technical expertise in Python.

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience in translating customer needs into data-related challenges.

• Ability to present clear analyses and conclusions to a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Deep curiosity about data and the Amazon ecosystem.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity, making trade-offs, and adapting plans as new insights emerge.

• Experience in the software development lifecycle using version control, CI/CD, and various environments.

• Experience with Spark, SageMaker, and S3.

• Familiarity with additional AWS services like EC2, CloudWatch, Athena, Postgres, and Docker.

• Proficiency in Jupyter notebooks.
