This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of analytical challenges from the initial problem framing and metric establishment to data collection, modeling, validation, and stakeholder implementation.
• Create predictive and inferential models, including forecasts, propensity and uplift models, as well as survival or duration analyses, that significantly enhance product or operational decisions.
• Formulate statistical techniques and reusable analyses for assessing performance, which encompasses detection accuracy, intervention impact, and downstream operational results.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to identify key metrics, implement new functionalities, and translate business inquiries into well-defined analytical tasks.
• Review system outputs and provide structured feedback to enhance product accuracy and dependability.
• Present findings through dashboards, written reports, and stakeholder presentations that result in actionable decisions.
• Assist in establishing best practices concerning data quality, experimentation, modeling, and reproducibility, while contributing to the team's data contracts and standard operating procedures.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Quantitative Analyst, or in a similar capacity, with a proven history of delivering analyses and models that influenced product or business choices.
• Strong expertise in SQL, including complex Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, and query optimization.
• Proficient in Python for data-related tasks, including libraries such as pandas and NumPy, along with experience using statsmodels or other relevant tools.
• A solid foundation in applied statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, experimental design, and uncertainty quantification.
• Experience in designing and analyzing A/B tests or other controlled experiments within a product context.
• Proven experience in building at least one category of predictive model from start to finish, such as forecasting, classification, or propensity modeling.
• Familiarity with data visualization and Business Intelligence (BI) tools, capable of transforming analyses into coherent narratives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade cross-functional partners without direct authority.
• Capability to work independently, manage various priorities, and effectively drive ambiguous projects to completion.
