This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• A specialist in quantitative analysis, data mining, and presenting data insights that goes beyond mere numbers, with a solid understanding of how users engage with both consumer and business products.
• Capable of collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to address challenges and pinpoint trends and opportunities.
• Responsible for informing, influencing, supporting, and executing product decisions as well as product launches.

• Able to collaborate effectively within a team as well as work independently.
• Involved in Product Operations and the design and evaluation of experiments.
• Responsible for monitoring key product metrics and understanding the root causes behind metric fluctuations.
• Tasked with constructing and analyzing dashboards and reports.
• Responsible for creating essential data sets to facilitate operational and exploratory analysis.
• Engaged in the evaluation and definition of metrics.
• Conducting exploratory analysis.
• Proposing new features for inclusion in the next roadmap.
• Understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term trends.
• Identifying new strategies to influence key metrics.
• Developing models of user behaviors for analysis or to enhance production systems.
• Influencing product teams by presenting data-driven recommendations.
• Communicating the status of business experiment outcomes, among other insights, to product teams.
• Promoting best practices among analytics and product teams.
• Primarily working with Hadoop and Hive, with occasional use of MySQL, Oracle, and Vertica.
• Automating analyses and creating pipelines using SQL and a Python-based framework.
• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Econometrics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in solving analytical challenges using quantitative methods.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate quantitative analysis results effectively.
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
• Development experience in any scripting language (such as PHP, Python, Perl, etc.).
• Knowledge of statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression).
• Experience in manipulating data sets using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS) or other techniques.
• Experience with distributed computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc.) is advantageous.
