Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Morocco.

📋 Description

• Mining data and extracting actionable insights from valuable data sources.

• Utilizing machine learning tools to select features, develop, and optimize classifiers.

• Processing, cleansing, and ensuring the integrity of data for analysis.

• Analyzing large datasets to discover patterns and solutions.

• Creating time series forecasting models using machine learning algorithms.

• Developing predictive systems and machine learning algorithms.

• Establishing strong partnerships with sponsors, clients, and vendors to validate business processes.

• Updating product owners on delivery status; identifying delivery risks and dependencies while detailing and quantifying impacts.

• Investigating anomalies within business workflows.

• Serving as a key liaison with the IT team to communicate data patterns and findings.

• Preparing presentations that clearly convey both the data science process and results to technical and non-technical audiences, including project managers, clients, sponsors, and vendors.

• Documenting and communicating findings in a structured manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Software or Computer Engineering (Bac+5) or equivalent experience (an asset).

• Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

• 1–2 years of professional experience in data science (including analysis, data mining, time series analysis, machine learning, projections and estimates, and business intelligence).

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including designing spreadsheet models, implementing macros, and connecting to external data sources.

• Proficient in SQL for querying databases.

• Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide is a plus.

• Background in solution development using at least one of the following: SAS and/or Python.

• Familiarity with leading machine learning libraries such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, or the capability to build machine learning models, is a plus.

• Knowledge of pandas, SciPy, and NumPy for data analysis, model building, and forecasting in Python.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a development team in an Agile environment.

• Competence in working efficiently in virtual teams during standard EST business hours using conferencing tools (e.g., WebEx, BETC).
