Data Scientist – Analytics, Machine Learning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design intricate technical scenarios encompassing machine learning, statistical analysis, experimentation, data infrastructure, business intelligence, MLOps, and data strategy.

• Generate reference outputs and analyses that showcase expert technical judgment.

• Develop evaluation rubrics that differentiate experienced data science reasoning from standard responses.

• Assess AI-generated outputs for statistical accuracy, technical quality, and real-world applicability.

• Identify analytical mistakes, unsupported conclusions, methodological concerns, bias, leakage, data quality issues, and operational risks.

• Evaluate modeling strategies, experimental designs, metrics, sampling methods, statistical conclusions, data architectures, pipelines, dashboards, and production machine learning systems.

• Create executive-level analyses, recommendations, technical documentation, and written rationales for evaluation decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, machine learning engineering, or a closely related domain.

• Experience in roles such as Data Scientist, Analytics Lead, Machine Learning Engineer, or other equivalent technical positions.

• Direct responsibility for production machine learning systems, analytics projects, data products, or large-scale analytical initiatives.

• Advanced proficiency in Python or R and SQL.

• Familiarity with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, SageMaker, Vertex AI, MLflow, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or other enterprise business intelligence platforms.

• Comprehensive understanding of statistical modeling, experimentation, A/B testing, model validation, and causal inference.

• Practical experience with data pipelines, MLOps, data governance, and production analytics.

• Capability to articulate complex technical and analytical reasoning clearly and accurately in writing.
