Data Science Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain machine learning models for various applications, including supervised and unsupervised learning, time series analysis, reinforcement learning, operations research, and linear programming.

• Facilitate discovery sessions with business units to capture requirements, design data solutions, and extract insights from market data as well as Solar Coca-Cola data.

• Maintain governance and ensure the quality of calculations and implementations.

• Streamline data science workflows by automating them through pipelines and workflows in Databricks, focusing on scalability and reliability.

• Oversee and assist with consulting projects prioritized by senior leadership, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and internalization of models.

• Develop comprehensive data and process flows utilizing flowcharts, collaborative tools, and stakeholder interviews.

• Examine platform and external data sources, integrating pertinent insights into models and internal metrics.

• Guide data science decisions within project teams, ensuring adherence to deadlines, technical quality, and alignment with strategic goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related disciplines.

• Technical expertise in data infrastructure, Big Data, and data visualization.

• Proven experience in executing Data Science, Machine Learning, and/or Analytics projects.

• Proficient in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive modeling, with experience in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.

• Familiarity with model deployment processes and testing methodologies for data products.

• Experience in leading the implementation of data products.

• Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with machine learning platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Understanding of A/B testing and API design related to product or SDK development.

• Contributions to prominent open-source software projects.
