Data Science Manager – Sports Pricing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the pricing and risk strategy for our fantasy markets, ensuring a balance between competitiveness and profitability.

• Lead and develop a high-performing team comprising pricing analysts and data scientists.

• Supervise the creation and implementation of pricing models across key sports and esports, including NBA, NFL, CS2, among others.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and BizOps to initiate and enhance pricing initiatives.

• Direct experimentation related to payout structures, hold targets, and win rate optimization to enhance engagement and profit margins.

• Maintain and advance frameworks for pricing accuracy, risk exposure monitoring, and overall market health.

• Ensure the integrity of data and quality of modeling in all pricing activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sports betting, fantasy, or related gaming sectors, preferably with a focus on pricing, trading, or risk management.

• A solid technical background in data science, statistics, or software engineering.

• Proven management experience — leading, mentoring, and expanding high-performance teams.

• Proficiency in SQL and either Python or R; familiar with simulation-based modeling and statistical optimization methods.

• A comprehensive understanding of the structure and modeling of sports and/or esports markets.

• A verified history of successfully managing complex projects from conception to launch in a dynamic environment.

• An effective communicator who excels at the intersection of data, product, and operations.
