Data Science Manager – Credit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Creating credit scoring, affordability, and behavioral models that facilitate underwriting, pricing, and collections.

• Designing and executing experiments aimed at enhancing approval rates, minimizing loss rates, and increasing profitability.

• Collaborating with product teams to integrate decision-making logic into real-time systems.

• Ensuring high standards of data quality, compliance, and ethical application of models throughout all decision-making processes.

• Guiding product teams in best practices for experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

• Delivering models that enhance outcomes in collections, churn management, and user retention.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a strong foundation in Statistics and hold a Degree or qualifications in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field).

• You have over 5 years of experience in data science, decision science, or risk analytics within the financial services sector, including at least 2 years in a management role.

• Familiarity with credit risk, consumer lending, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

• Expertise in SQL and proficiency in a minimum of one modeling/programming language (Python, R).

• Background in A/B testing, machine learning, collections modeling, and churn management.

• Capability to convert complex analyses into straightforward recommendations for business stakeholders.

• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
