Data Science Manager – Credit

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Creating credit scoring, affordability, and behavioral models to enhance underwriting, pricing, and collections processes.

• Designing and conducting experiments aimed at optimizing approval rates, minimizing loss rates, and maximizing profitability.

• Collaborating with product squads to integrate decision logic into real-time systems.

• Ensuring data integrity, compliance, and ethical application of models throughout all decision-making processes.

• Guiding product squads on best practices in experimentation and data-driven decision-making.

• Delivering models to improve outcomes in collections, churn management, and user retention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Statistics, holding a Degree or qualifications in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field).

• Over 5 years of experience in data science, decision science, or risk analytics within the financial services sector, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.

• Familiarity with credit risk, consumer lending, and regulatory considerations.

• Skilled in SQL and at least one modeling/programming language (Python, R).

• Experience with A/B testing, machine learning, collections modeling, and churn management.

• Capability to translate complex analyses into straightforward recommendations for business stakeholders.

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
