Data Science Lead – MLOps, Advanced Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and implement comprehensive production-grade machine learning and artificial intelligence systems utilizing MLOps methodologies.

• Manage the entire process from hypothesis formulation and exploratory data analysis to feature engineering, model selection, and deployment in production.

• Act as a liaison between Data Engineers and business stakeholders by converting KPIs into objective functions.

• Create automated pipelines for data validation, model profiling, and hyperparameter tuning leveraging Azure Machine Learning Services.

• Set up monitoring systems for data drift and concept drift following deployment.

• Guide the development of predictive models within CI/CD/CT frameworks.

• Convert extensive raw datasets into scalable enterprise intelligence utilizing Azure Databricks, Spark, and Azure ML.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–8 years of overall experience.

• Over 4 years of practical Data Science experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in leading technical teams or managing complex projects.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Strong proficiency in supervised and unsupervised learning, including Gradient Boosted Trees, XGBoost, LightGBM, Random Forests, and Neural Networks.

• Expertise in hypothesis testing, Bayesian inference, and error analysis.

• Capability to design intricate experiments and A/B tests.

• Familiarity with loss-function customization and optimization algorithms such as Gradient Descent and Genetic Algorithms.

• Advanced skills in Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PySpark/TensorFlow, and SQL.

• Practical experience with PySpark and Databricks for processing petabyte-scale datasets.

• In-depth knowledge of MLFlow and Kubeflow or Azure Pipelines.

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and deploying batch inference jobs.

• Advanced forecasting experience using Prophet, ARIMA, or LSTM networks is highly desirable.

• Technical mentoring, familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, and stakeholder management skills are considered a plus.
