This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kazakhstan.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete modeling cycle — from investigating raw data to developing production-ready specifications.

• Utilize metrics such as AUC, KS, bad rate, and stability index to assess model quality.

• Monitor model performance post-launch and identify when retraining or adjustments are necessary.

• Assess value through NPV, backtesting, and actual portfolio performance.

• Convert insights into actionable decisions — your role will contribute to evolving our credit strategy beyond just model development.

• Share innovative ideas to transform how we evaluate, price, and manage credit — our internal tools are adaptable and data-driven.

• Collaborate closely with product and data teams to ensure every model aligns with genuine business objectives.

• Step beyond your designated role when necessary — we prioritize ownership over rigid job descriptions.

• Each task is viewed through the lens of business value — no "models for the drawer" mentality here.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of practical experience in data analytics or data science.

• Strong knowledge of statistics, probability, and machine learning algorithms.

• Proficient in Python (including pandas and scikit-learn) and SQL for data exploration and modeling.

• Experience specifically with credit scoring models — either building or validating models for application or behavioral risk.

• Practical experience with the entire model lifecycle: from data analysis and feature engineering to deployment and post-production monitoring.

• Capability to translate modeling logic into implementation-ready specifications.

• Previous experience with credit products is a significant advantage, particularly in the fintech sector.

• Experience in evaluating the business impact of models (e.g., NPV, backtesting) is beneficial.

• Exposure to cross-functional collaboration (e.g., with product or engineering teams) is a plus.

• Openness to relocating to our Manila headquarters is a considerable advantage.
