Data Science and Machine Learning Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the customer's representative in the evolution of products, possessing a thorough understanding of client priorities, challenges, and opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with health plan customer counterparts across various subject matter areas, including clinical, product, data, intervention, and finance.

• Discover opportunities to enhance existing algorithms and develop new ones that effectively highlight patient risk.

• Develop a comprehensive framework for algorithm creation, implementation, and measurement to facilitate end-to-end evolution.

• Design, construct, and execute in close partnership with an internal team consisting of product managers, data scientists, ML engineers, clinicians, dev ops engineers, and software engineers.

• Maintain a hands-on approach and stay closely aligned with the internal working team throughout the entire model development lifecycle, from problem definition and data acquisition to performance tuning and production launch.

• Convert model outputs into clear risk identification, stratification, prioritization, optimal intervention modality assignment, and outcome measurements.

• Establish a clear methodology to measure and continuously enhance product features.

• Act as the primary product partner for clients, fostering strong, trusted relationships to consistently deliver value.

• Lead the implementation of Evio Compass across health plans and health system clients to ensure a seamless rollout and robust adoption.

• Collaborate with customers to understand their priorities, risks, and objectives, and work with the internal Evio team to customize the product to meet customer needs.

• Advise clients on actionable steps to address identified risks to achieve the best possible outcomes.

• Strategize with client partners on optimal modalities to maximize outcomes from interventions related to risk.

• Facilitate client discussions and manage client relationships with the primary aim of surpassing client objectives and delivering consistent value.

• Serve as the tactical thought leader to effectively leverage Evio resources to drive progress for customers.

• Create new processes and capabilities to support and scale customer success, including tracking success metrics such as business impact and client satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in hands-on data science, machine learning, and AI-based product development.

• More than 5 years of experience collaborating with teams within health plans, health systems, or similar environments (e.g., pharmacy management, population health, HEOR, finance, UW/Actuarial functions, risk management, or product) to: identify problem areas solvable with data and analytics, drive analytics adoption, and evolve analytics products based on performance while measuring business results.

• At least 5 years of experience working in a health plan, PBM, health system, pharmacy, and/or digital health organization.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading analytic product development, implementation, or client transformation initiatives.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy and/or medical drug benefit management with a solid understanding of economics.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Knowledge of the digital health product landscape within health plans, pharmaceuticals, and PBM environments.

• Previous start-up experience is advantageous.
