This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to pinpoint business challenges and opportunities where data can create value.

• Develop vision, strategy, and roadmaps for designated data domains and products; implement product management methodologies.

• Convert business needs into precise requirements for new or enhanced data products, including specifications for data quality and business definitions.

• Work closely with business teams to identify key business elements that translate into essential data components for data products.

• Ensure accurate metadata for new data sources to facilitate discoverability and governance.

• Convert datasets into actionable products that serve as a single source of truth, enabling data-driven decision-making.

• Partner with data science teams to enhance data products through advanced analytics.

• Produce comprehensive artifacts (epics, features, data flow diagrams, ER diagrams) detailing product functionality.

• Set quality and governance standards to maintain data integrity, consistency, accuracy, and compliance.

• Establish and monitor KPIs to assess product success (e.g., SLA compliance, error rates, user engagement).

• Analyze and manipulate data utilizing tools such as SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms.

• Promote adoption and ROI through commercialization initiatives, including training and educational resources.

• Cultivate a culture of data literacy throughout the organization.

• Engage in testing, validation, and version control for data products.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience in a quantitative field (engineering, information systems, math, statistics, economics, business management, or finance) preferred.

• Alternatively, a degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience (an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may substitute for the degree).

• Over 7 years of combined experience in card processing and payments, product management, agile project management, and technical product implementations focused on data-driven products or analytics solutions.

• Strong comprehension of data governance, compliance standards, and lifecycle management.

• Proficient in SQL and experienced with large, complex datasets.

• Practical experience with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and data pipelines.

• Proven capability to convert data into business insights and impact strategic decisions.

• Familiarity with principles of metadata management and governance.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results in dynamic environments.

• Experience in product budgeting and forecasting is required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS), BI tools, and data governance tools (e.g., Informatica).

• Experience in defining, launching, and scaling data products with measurable outcomes.

• Capability to distill complex data into actionable insights and customer-facing products.

• High attention to detail coupled with a strategic perspective.

• Proven skills in data storytelling: synthesizes analysis into a clear narrative, frames trade-offs, and recommends actions using a structured storyline that resonates with diverse audiences.

• Demonstrated experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM), including developing and executing strategies to foster adoption, minimize resistance, and ensure successful implementation of new processes, technologies, or organizational initiatives.

• Ability to effectively facilitate workshops and focus groups to gather and document requirements.

• Experience in collaborating across engineering, data science, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
