Data Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and implement ETL pipelines that can efficiently handle terabytes of data.

• Develop and enhance APIs to ensure rapid and reliable data retrieval, accommodating both exact and partial matches.

• Design and oversee scalable storage solutions (e.g., Bigtable, BigQuery, Elasticsearch, or other NoSQL/SQL systems).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable products that provide insights and business value.

• Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including data science, product, and operations teams.

• Document processes, architectures, and APIs; mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of technical excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English at an advanced level (C1) is required.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing scalable backend systems, designing high-performance APIs, and handling large-scale datasets.

• Practical experience in designing and constructing streaming pipelines utilizing technologies like Apache Flink, Apache Beam, Airflow, and Apache Spark.

• Proficient in Go, Python, or Java, coupled with a solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Bigtable, BigQuery, or DynamoDB) for scalable storage solutions.

• Skilled in AWS or GCP infrastructure, containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, and managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.

• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while effectively communicating complex technical concepts.
