This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement strategies for importing data into Drupal, utilizing datasets sourced from SharePoint environments.
• Create and sustain ETL processes along with migration scripts to convert and load both structured and unstructured data into Drupal.
• Convert legacy SharePoint data (including lists, libraries, metadata, and permissions) into formats and structures compatible with Drupal.
• Execute data mapping, transformation, and normalization, ensuring alignment with Drupal's content models and taxonomy.
• Establish migration workflows that maintain: content relationships, metadata and taxonomy, as well as user permissions and access controls.
• Carry out test migrations, validation, and reconciliation to guarantee the completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
• Identify and resolve migration challenges such as data inconsistencies, transformation errors, or absent relationships.
• Document mapping rules, transformation logic, and migration runbooks thoroughly.
• Collaborate with Drupal developers and architects to define content types, entities, and taxonomy structures that accommodate incoming data.
• Configure and/or enhance Drupal's migration capabilities (e.g., Migrate API, custom scripts, or modules).
• Assist in implementing Drupal-side migration pipelines, ensuring that they align with platform architecture and performance considerations.
• Contribute to the design of data models and content architecture to facilitate scalable and maintainable ingestion patterns.
• Engage in debugging and optimizing migration processes and data ingestion workflows based on Drupal.
• Work alongside DevOps teams to integrate migration tasks into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Aid in user acceptance testing and post-migration validation processes.
• Significant experience in executing enterprise data migrations from SharePoint environments.
• Practical experience with: data transformation and scripting (Python, SQL, PowerShell, or similar).
• Proficiency in ETL processes and automation of migration tasks.
• Knowledge of metadata, taxonomy, and content modeling.
• Experience in migrating document libraries and files, lists and structured data, as well as permissions and access models.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting and data validation.
• Familiarity with Drupal content architecture, including content types, entities, fields, and taxonomy.
• Awareness of Drupal migration frameworks (e.g., Migrate API) and/or custom ingestion methods.
• Working knowledge of PHP and fundamental Drupal concepts, along with data modeling within Drupal systems.
• Experience in supporting or implementing content migrations into Drupal or similar CMS platforms.
• Familiarity with migration tools (ShareGate, Metalogix, DocAve, or similar) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of AWS or cloud-based environments.
• Experience in large-scale modernization or federal environments is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• Existing or recent DHS clearance is strongly preferred.
• Public Trust Clearance will be mandatory.
