Data Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Reviews regulatory requirements (Statutory Plans) and translates them into internal data reporting specifications.

• Develops and prepares new reports and applications utilizing multiple sources of information.

• Assesses the information being reported for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness.

• Maintains and supports existing tools and applications used for information analysis.

• Engages with actuaries, accountants, product managers, and IT counterparts regarding data and business requirements for new reports or applications.

• Prepares both internal and external correspondence related to the development and interpretation of information.

• Conducts research into proposed solutions for data quality challenges and the creation of new reports or applications.

• Implements process efficiencies and automation techniques.

• Aids in the cross-training and development of other professional staff as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum Required Experience: 1-3 years

• Preferred Experience: 4-6 years

• Insurance Background: Required

• Strong preference for experience in Data Reporting

• English Proficiency: Fluent required

• Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree

• Required Fields of Study: Information Technology, Business

• Additional Preferred Fields of Study: Accounting/Audit/Finance, Actuary/Math, Insurance, Data Management

• Other Essential Skills: Data Quality Checks and Balances (+2 Years), Data Analysis and Trending (+3 Years), Project Management (Entry Level), Reporting Automation (+2 Years), Strong Analytical Skills, Advanced communication and collaboration skills

• Software / Tool Proficiency: Excel (+3 years), SQL (+3 years), SAS EG (Entry Level, 1-3 years), PowerPoint (+2 years), Power BI (+2 years), Python (+2 years)
