This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Daily monitor and process SDS Requests efficiently, including necessary research.
• Direct communication with customers regarding their requests.
• Ensure that SDS Data Entry adheres to the guidelines established in the SOP.
• Stay informed about OSHA Hazard Communication 29 CFR 1910.1200 and updates to the Globally Harmonized System policies and regulations.
• Regularly provide data verification and reconciliation to maintain HMMS SDS data integrity.
• Maintain access to the DLA FLIS system for research purposes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for HMMS SDS requests.
• Assist the System Administrator and/or DBA in the upkeep of the HMMS application, software, and system configuration.
• Conduct audits of CAGE/Company Information to ensure accuracy.
• Audit Chemical Information for correctness.
• Review and process records marked as Ready for QA status.
• Participate in Internal Demonstrations and meetings.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Capability to verify U.S. employment eligibility using Form I-9.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance and Common Access Card.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of data entry experience, ideally in the Environmental domain.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Understanding of Safety Data Sheets.
• Familiarity with the Chemical Abstract Substance registry.
• Knowledge of 29 CFR 1910.1200 OSHA Hazard Communication.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies on compliance programs, such as OSHA, EPA, State, and Local.
• Ability to perform Quality Assurance procedures on data entry.
• Analytical skills for data modeling.
• Proficient in using reporting tools to verify and validate data.
• Skilled in operating automated equipment such as computer terminals, scanners, and facsimiles.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and/or Hazardous Waste.
• Familiarity with the Hazardous Material Management System (HMMS).
• Ability to present clear and concise information tailored to the target audience.
• Must be able to type at least 35 wpm.
