Data Engineering Specialist I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Accountable for essential data ingestion processes (including ingestion and processing)

• Ensure adherence to data engineering standards in both code and ingested data

• Collaborate with the Data Architect to establish design choices (emphasizing scalability, performance, cost, and security)

• Mentor and guide the data engineering team (conducting code reviews, providing mentorship, and defining best practices)

• Partner with the product team on prioritization and roadmap development

• Oversee significant projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound expertise in large-scale data processing

• Advanced proficiency in Spark, Python, and/or Scala

• Experience with orchestration tools, ideally Apache Airflow

• Advanced skills in Python

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)

• Knowledge of software development and data engineering best practices, including version control and CI/CD
